The FA Charter Standard. What is the FA Charter Standard and what do the members of AFC Dunstable get?

The FA Charter Standard Scheme is a core component of The FA Football Development programme. The scheme establishes minimum standards for football development and acts as a quality assurance mechanism recognising well run schools, colleges, clubs and holiday courses. As a benchmark for quality, it will improve the playing experience for all.

In summary the FA Charter Standard rewards organisations who demonstrate a commitment to raising standards in the following areas:

Child Protection

In order to become a Charter Standard Community Club, AFC Dunstable have achieved the following:

A constitution
Financial Management
A Code of Conduct
Insurance (Linked to Affiliation)
An Equity Policy
FA Child Protection Policy
Designated Person
Personnel Disclosure Forms
Attend FA Workshop
Attend Soccer Parent
Qualified Coaches (Level 1)
5 Teams......4 Sections
1 x FA Coaching Certificate
Development Plan
Minimum 10 Teams
Youth to Adult
Minimum 1 girls/women's Team
Mini Soccer Teams
All Adult Team Coaches/managers must have First Aid qualification
Schools Liason Officer
Volunteer Co-ordinator

To sum up, all our members will recieve some of the best the county of Bedfordshire can provide in quality of coaching, health & safety, a bright future, first class coaching facilities and much more.
All this is delivered, by volunteers, who give up their precious time to deliver our Development Plan, so all our members can enjoy their time with AFC Dunstable.
