The draw for the FA Cup and the FA Vase have been made and the first team have been drawn at home in both competitions.
Their first competitive game of the season, will be a home tie against fellow SSMFL outfit Ampthill Town on Saturday 11th August. Ampthill, who came runners up in Division One last season, will be a tough nut to crack, as they had a great run in the FA Vase last season when they reached the 4th round. If we get past Ampthill then the next round, which will be the Preliminary Round, another home tie awaits us in the shape of Redbridge, who ply their trade in the Ryman League Northern Section on August 25th. Redbridge reached the 2nd Round Proper last season going out to Crawley.
If all our dreams are fulfilled and we progress to the First Qualifying Round, then a trip to either London Lions, Clapton, Oxhey Jets or Leverstock Green on September 8th is next up.
In the FA Vase, we somehow have had a bye to the 1st Round proper on October 13th. A home draw against either Potton United from the UCL or Hatfield Town from the SSMFL.
Also drawn was the FA Youth Cup which will be our first season in this competition. The Under 18's have been drawn away to AFC Kempston Rovers week commencing the 3rd September in the Preliminary Round. A plum home tie against Luton Town awaits the winners week commencing 17th September. If all goes to plan, then another home tie against Cogenhoe, Peterborough Northern Star or Rushden & Higham United week commencing 1st October.
