Team Of The Month

Saturday 22nd October 2005


1st team manager Dermot Butler and his assistant Alex Butler, picked up the team of the month August/September from President of the league Brian Smith.

Under 17's Manager Leaves The Club

Sunday 23rd October 2005


It is with great regret that Under 17's manager Kevin Butler has resigned. Kevin along with Simon Berry joined the club 2 years ago.They had success in 2003-04 when Under 15's were runners up in the league. Simon has returned to take control of the team with Steve Burgess.

England Under 21's Trip

Friday 11th November 2005



The club, took 144 members which ranged from the under 8's through to the under 15's, to see Englands Under 21's take on France Under 21's in the UEFA Euro Under 21 Championships play off match at White Hart Lane.

Three New Signings

4th January 2006

It was a busy period over the festive time as the club went into the transfer market.
First on the agenda was the transfer of Gary Capehorn from Division One outfit Dunstable Town 98. Gary was part of our championship winning team back in season 2003-04.
Next up was Gareth Seeley's move from Premier Division Biggleswade Town. Finally Lee McCulloch has rejoined the club. Lee who was captain when we won the league, was a regular for Hitchin Town 1st team all of last season and the beginning of this, but has suffered an injury and has moved down the pecking order at Hitchin.

Last Unbeaten Record Gone

8th January 2006


The last unbeaten team in the club have finally been defeated. The under 8's travelled to Markyate and went down 3-0. It was quite a shock to the system as we did beat them 3-0 earlier in the season.

Semi Final Joy

29th January 2006

The Under 15's & Under 17's reached the final of their respective County Cup's.
The Under 15's travelled over to Crawley Green and won a tough encounter 3-2. They will play Bedford Town in the final on March 5th at Bedford United & Valerio's ground, kick off 10.30am.
The two Under 17 teams once again merged to defeat Kempston West End 1-0 at Lancot Park. Their final date is March 12th against Stotfold who play in Under 18's football. The final is at Ampthill Town, kick off 10.30am.
